Lovely pleasant stay in a unique traditional home

Lovely unique lodging in a very strategic location. Place was very clean but what sets it apart is the care and concern of the owners. Communication was excellent prior to our arrival. We came in very late, past midnight and the owner stayed up to make sure we got in and showed us to our room and explained where and how things worked. On checkout day, for breakfast his wife gave us free homemade kimchi and delicious kimbap (?). Would recommend this place for those who want to experience staying in a traditional house!

Loved it and would stay again.

Lovely stay, hosts very accommodating. We asked for double padding on bed with extra pillows which made it very comfortable. Great location close to multiple subway lines.

Affordable Hanok stay

Lovely hanok. The owner was very friendly and allowed us to leave my luggages at the accommodation for a few hours after checking out.

Stayed in winter and the room takes a while to heat up. Bathroom was cold.

Everything was perfect about our stay, the owners came especially to help us locate the Hanok and gave us complimentary melon and tea! Very well heated, plenty of space and storage. Incredibly clean and central. I recommend Dajayon to anyone who wishes to visit Seoul

Traditional Korean househ

Stunning Korean traditional house with lovely courtyard. The property itself is a heritage. Few steps away from metro station. Loads of restaurants within walkable distance. The landlord welcomed us, even it was almost 10pm at night. They sent me instructions on how to access the property before we checkin. Definitely a great choice we wouldn't regret!

Sadly no breakfast due to covid, and some might be concerned about the cold bathroom and super quiet room when the aircon is not switched on

Extremely kind owners. Excellent position to visit the more historic side of seoul, the hanok is beautiful and full of tradition. Amazing experience that I really recommend.

Nothing, just a suggestion to “western” customer: it is different from the standards we may be used to in europe/usa, just be open minded and enjoy.

Lovely property in the perfect location to get a feel for cool retro Jongno.

The location is just perfect for a few days in Seoul. Short flat walk to a major Subway hub, 100m from nightlife and amazing food. 100m from your choice of convenience store. Yet also cozy and quiet spot. Proprietor couple were lovely, she cooked us breakfast one morning gratis. WiFi and mini-split ac worked fine.

Just be aware this is a Hanok stay. That means thin futons on the floor. En suite bathroom, but "wet bath" (ie the shower is a house attached to the sink).

Perfect, would chose tha same for a traditional stay.

Perfect location to visit Seoul and its attractions. Hanok is very traditional form to stay with Futon beds. Host are very kind and caring. It met our expectations, but the location in mid town, the absolute calm nights and teh kindness of the hosts exceeded our expectations.

Nothing to complain. But one should be aware it is a traditional Hanok, so the room is traditional, quite small and futon-beds are quite different from hotel beds.

Lovely place

It’s a traditional Hannok house with a lot of character and charm. The futon mattresses are comfortable and there is underfloor heating on all the time (we were there in February) which kept us warm. Our room was very generous in size for two people. The lady of the house cooks brilliant Korean breakfast in the mornings (need to book it) and it was one of the highlights of our stay. Highly recommended!

Great experience, excellent host!

Just a couple of minutes away from the tube and within walking distance from major sights, this place is ideal for anyone visiting Seoul and wishing to stay at a traditional accommodation. The host was great and catered for all our needs, the room was very clean and spacious enough for two and the bathroom was also clean with hot water available at all times. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would love to come back soon!

Fabulous

Breakfast was the highlight, excellent...a must if staying here. We stayed 4 nights and the breakfast was a different Korean style each morning The room was small but comfortable, with underfloor heating. Interesting property - not your regular hotel-type stay. Good loction, close to metro station (Jongo 3) and nearby to Insadong. Lots of little alleyways...very interesting walking around.

Good

The location of this hanok is amazing, right across the street from the charming Insadong neighborhood. As others have mentioned, the breakfast was delicious. I was also very grateful to be so taken care of as a solo traveler.

Though the bedroom had a heated floor, the bathroom was poorly insulated and the temperature felt the same as it was outside. It was so cold that I never ended up showering there, but rather waited until I was at the spa. You can tell from the photos that the bed is on the floor, and it was fine, but the mattress was quite thin. In general, 80 USD seemed like a lot for this particular property.
